Hopefully by the time any of you read this I will have deleted & put a stop to the rash of crass comments that have been left on my blog. I won’t even give you an example they are so bad! I sat here, mouth agape, muttering “uh, what?…uh,how can they…rrrrrgh”
Unlike blogger, I do not have word verification for anonymous commentors. So if it doesn’t stop today I have to enable the members only commenting. That sucks for me because then I will receive NO comments ever! If you want to be able to leave comments you will have to sign up for a blogharbor account to do it. Sorry!
Blame the jerks leaving all the pornograhic comments!

I am just going to do it, beg for anyones extra scraps/balls of koigu kpppm that they have no use or desire for. Any colorway, it’s a multi color pattern that will use all scraps. When I say extras I mean anything as small as 1/4 of a hank. I am talking free, I don’t want to have to pay for shipping or anything so if you aren’t willing to give in to my begging, pleading, mooching, whatever you want to call it, then no big deal! It can’t hurt to ask (other than my pride & reputation)!
Thanks for letting me grovel!

Hold on to your pants everyone! Below are a ton of pictures!!
What’s this, the surprise box!!
Let’s open it up & see what’s inside, yeah?
oooh, Kalah has requested a needle case out of these fabrics….OMG I love them!! Nice, nice choice!
so what do you think it would take to bribe me into making a needle case for her?? Let me tell you Kalah, you are one smart cookie when it comes to bribes!

sorry if they are a little out of focus, lately some days no matter what settings I have the camera on I can’t get good pictures, but only on some days. Lame!
Let me preface the next group of pictures with a little background. Trevor loves trains, he has since before he turned 3. As any parent knows, when a kid loves trains they love Thomas the tank engine (theme song plays in my head, sing along Tracy). Now, the Thomas series has something like 80 (billion) different trains, engines, carriages, trucks, cars, etc.etc. So far the only engine that Trevor has needed but didn’t have was Henry (he pronounces it hengry, he used to use the word hengry for Henry and the word angry so Tracy & I always tease him by saying hengry engry, he doesn’t get us) the #3 engine. I have heard about Henry for the last year, every time he gets hurt or is sad he cries to Henry. He doesn’t want mommy or daddy, he wants Hengry! Do I have to go any further to get you to see that my child has a serious engine problem?
Now back to the pictures.
At this moment I really wish I had a background soundtrack on my blog. Trevor is sitting at the base of my chair looking through a Thomas catalog that Kalah so kindly sent with the trains & making the “ch,ch,ch,ch” ing sound. Every once in a while I hear a little yip of joy and in a falsetto voice of Henry a train whistle. sigh…if only there were something that made my heart leap like that….
oh, that’s right! There is something that makes my heart go pitter-patter!
oh, you want to see them up close?? Sweet!
Kalah, you are SO going to have your needle case!!
Thank you for the amazing surprise for all of us!
Happy, happy, joy, joy!!

I was informed last week by the ever loving Tracy that I would be getting a surprise by this coming Friday. Of course she didn’t hint to anything other than that. I didn’t know if it would be something in the mail, a phone call, a person, or what! So this morning she gives me another hint by asking when UPS shows up at my house. Now I am waiting with baited breath for the UPS guy to come!!! She has been good about not giving me any more hints, I am not a big surprise lover, I tend to let people down with my lack of a reaction. I have not been bugging her about letting me in on this little secret either! Just this once I will let it stay a surprise! Tracy is so excited today that I am now nervous about what the UPS man is bringing to my house! SO I thought I would share with all of you that I am waiting, patiently waiting for the big brown to arrive at my doorstep!

This pattern is so fun! It’s the perfect shaped cabled scarf! It has just that little bit of uniqueness that makes making scarves a must. I am not a huge scarf making fan although I do wear them often in the so-called winter here in Santa Barbara.
Of course $17 is a lot for a book of patterns that I will only use once to figure out how to do the shaping of the cable edges. So I think it’s something I am ready to experiment with myself. Maybe I can even hunt this here internet to find another brilliant knitter that has come up with a system! If not I guess I may have to tackle it…
Well I had such grand plans yesterday for what I was going to get accomplished. Then I got sucked into the america’s next top model marathon on vh1 with tracy & of course the kids went all annoying on me! So only 4″, very sad, got accomplished on the sleeve. I will have it finished today though! Not much farther to go so it’s not a stretch.
Tracy’s aran cardigan is so RAD!! I love the yarn, the color, the pattern, the feel. I love it all! So much so that I have the yarn, in pink, to make one for myself eventually. Got enough on my plate right now with sweaters and plans for sweaters. That is one that can wait patiently!
