I told you so!!!

See?? I have been pumping out the knit items!! Thanks to my lovely daughter we have  photos!

I have to say that I am really pleased with everything I have finished in the last couple of weeks. Very fulfilling, even if I do hate sewing all the damn pieces together, to actually finish a project in one night. I had a tendency to finish the pieces, get them blocked then put them away for sewing another year. Diligence pays off!

The turquoise jacket is a pattern from the Rowan it’s a tape thing book. Of course I had to adjust the pattern to work with the yarn of my choice, handpaintedyarn bulky wool. This jacket was so fast & so fun to work on! I love dropped stitches! The sleeves with the dropped stitch bells are just to die for!

The steeked Noro cardigan was also a breeze & pleasure to make. The steeking part was scary but not bad! I will defenitely do that again! I was so glad to be able to keep the stripes on the back piece & the front pieces matching by using steeking. Crochet steeking was a breeze and made a gorgeous finished edge in my opinion.

I found that there was not a problem with the top and bottom of the crochet steek edge if you just chain stitched 2 stitches over to really hold the corners.

All of the bags I am in love with! I love to crochet so felting some crocheted bags was a fun little treat! I used a pattern from Interweave crochet as my inspiration & then just fiddled with it until I had the bag I wanted! Crocheted items don’t shrink quite as much as knit bags but they do take just as much yarn. (Crochet takes almost 2 1/2 times as much yarn as knitting!) I think I may make one of the saddle shaped bags in a really big tote bag size, wouldn’t that just rock as a carry on bag?? I have some badass green ecological wool that would work perfectly!! I may need to get another hank of it to make it as gigantic as I want it but woohoo! Sounds good to me!

Let’s see what else… oh let’s do a tally of what is on the needles right now!
